Bridget had an art piece selected by her teacher to be exhibited in their annual county showcase at the Walters Art Museum. All of us wanted to go see the exhibit. After Mass, we picked Emma up in the morning, grabbed a quick bite at Dunkin Doughnuts and headed to downtown Baltimore for the Student reception. It also happened to be the St. Patrick's Day parade so navigating and parking was a little crazy, but we made it. We checked in at the event table and then searched for her painting. We found it and took a few minutes to enjoy it and take pictures of Bridget with her artwork. She did a picture of a night sky as you are looking up through branches. She used oil pastels and paint to capture the cool perspective.
Emma happened to have an art history project that required her to visit and write and essay on one of the paintings at the Walters, so she, Rae and Meg went off together to explore while Emma worked.
I was glad that we all got to celebrate Bridget's honor together.
