Lots of Kehrmans part 2

We celebrated Father's Day with a big breakfast and then a cookout with Crabs at Henry and Donna's house. Just a few days later we celebrated Jim's birthday. We decided to all go down to Mount Vernon together and visit George Washington's home. It is only June but the day held the heat and humidity of a record August day. The temps slowed us down a little as we walked the gardens and we took advantage of a garden sprinkler.  Emma, Bill and Dad drove back early so Emma could take care of the neighbor's dogs but the rest of us stayed and walked through the impressive education center. It had lots of hands on activities including a kid's craft room where Megan and Bridget made wigs.

The week seemed to go by very quickly and before I knew it, it was time to say good bye. We are so glad that they came out to visit and spend their vacation with us.

  1. We surely enjoyed our visit. Thanks to Em and Rae for bunking together so Uncle Bill had a bed. We WOULD have missed A LOT if we had been at a motel! Thank you for the hospitality. We had such precious time all together-our whole family. And your family, Liz, is always so welcoming when we are in town.
Many, many thanks and God bless each of you-Hanna, Bridget, Megan, Rae, Em, Liz and Jim (my baby boy)-
